Herschel is a second-generation architect having grown up in Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University. He spent numerous summers during his formative years interning in architectural and engineering firms, including spending time working in commercial construction. Upon receiving his Bachelor of Architecture Degree, he worked in both large and small firms prior to starting Sikes Group Architects in 1992. His foundation is built on the belief that to be a good architect you not only need to be an attentive listener, but also understand the “nuts and bolts” of good design principles.

He is licensed to practice in numerous states and currently holds an NCARB Certificate. In addition, he maintains professional memberships in the American Institute of Architects and Texas Society of Architects as well as other local civic and charitable organizations.

His firm has grown to specialize in healthcare, institutional, hospitality, retail and commercial facilities and has completed projects throughout Texas and the sunbelt region of the United States. His clients include some of the leading Fortune 100 Companies in the U.S.

Jed serves as Sr. Project Architect and received his Bachelor Architecture Degree from Texas Tech University and his Master’s in Architecture from University of Arizona with honors in 2009. He is a registered architect and interior designer and possesses strong leadership skills in leading a team of designers, engineers and contractors to a successful project completion. He is fully experienced and proficient with BIM Technology and 3D Visualization and utilizes it to gain maximum advantage in preparing design and construction documentation.

Throughout his career he has worked on a variety of projects throughout the United States and abroad including mixed use, resorts, hotels, casinos, restaurants, medical, office, religious, residential, and higher education, in addition to other high-end commercial and multi-family projects.
